As the largest Scandinavian hotel chain, we are more than aware of our responsibility towards the environment. That is why we decided back in 1993 to become the market leader in sustainability and to drive it forward in the hotel industry - sustainability became an integral part of our values and has been an integral element of all aspects of our daily work ever since.
Our hotels also implement many measures to achieve Scandic's self-imposed environmental goals. At the local level, hotels enrich the global sustainability strategy with their own ideas and projects and set holistic impulses. For example, we produce our own honey on some hotel roofs in Germany, which guests find on the breakfast buffet.
After Berlin, Hamburg and Frankfurt, we are now also launching an innovative hotel in Munich that meets the highest standards of sustainable construction with the DGNB Gold classification. We want to make another authentic contribution to sustainable travel - because for us this has always been more than just a trend.
At Scandic, we understand a sustainable corporate strategy to include ecological, social and economic aspects. Last but not least, sustainability for us also means fair treatment of our employees and transparent corporate governance. Internal training is therefore a top priority in order to promote the talents of our employees.
